Jennie’s Story

My ‘Story’ seems unusual to most; however, each one of us has our own unusual stories. I did not connect all of the book-writing dots until Holy Spirit started downloading these books to me. Each book has its own story about how it came to be.

It all started when I was a small child. I have always had the ability to ‘know’ things that I should not know, and being a ‘dreamer’ was just normal to me. As a child, I would literally hear my mom call my name, and when I would go see what she wanted, she would not have called me but would have actually needed me! This same thing happened as I heard others call my name. There were times when I would know that people close to me had died, and even though I was a child, I was not afraid. One time, as I rode in the car with my family from a parade, I literally heard, “You’re going to wreck.” A few miles down the road, we actually did wreck (John 16:13)! That story is in my first book, ‘Encounters with Him.’ So, supernatural encounters have just been my way of life.

Even though I have always journaled, I did not have a desire to write books. I have always loved to write down what is happening during the day, on a vacation, and as a follower of Jesus, all the things He is doing and saying. As you read these books, you will read where I urge you to keep pen and paper by your bed to write down those dreams and visions that God gives you during the night (Job 33:15-18). So, I suppose that God had already made me a scribe, a recorder of daily happenings.

Over the years, many people have heard my stories and stated that I needed to write a book. People have prophesied over me that I would write books, time and time again. I had no desire to do such a thing. BUT GOD! He began to cause people to speak ‘writing’ over me more and more. Then, Holy Spirit gave me two separate visions of an angel giving me a book (Hebrews 4:12), and two days later an angel gave me a sword (Ephesians 6:17) in 2017. I still did not connect that this was preparing me to be an author. Then, two years later, He gave me the title of the first book by showing me a vision of a book cover. It was actually five years later that Holy Spirit supernaturally downloaded to me the chapter titles, stories, and verses of His first book written through me. I had no choice but to write what He had outlined to me.

The second book was brought about by years of writing monthly postcard devotionals to people on our personal ministry list. My husband and I are ordained ministers, and are overseers to ‘Overcomers by Faith Ministry.’ It is a ministry to people whom the doctors say have no hope, BUT JESUS, the Great Physician, is the healer of all who come to Him (Matt 15:30). These monthly devotionals were to be printed years earlier, as a friend of ours, Brother Gary Wood, who had written his own book, ‘A Place Called Heaven,’ wanted to have them published for us. However, though his book was about going to heaven and returning to tell us about it after he took our transcript, he died again, and this time, he stayed in heaven. Even so, I do believe it was published in God’s timing.

The third book was another supernatural download. This time, as I was sitting in church listening to my pastor teach, suddenly, another download of a title and chapters came to mind. Here we go again, Holy Spirit and me writing another book! I love how He invades our ‘moment’ to supernaturally converse with us. As you read these books, you’ll see that I call these times ‘as I am minding my own little business,’ and He supernaturally invades what I am doing.

As I am writing this, yet another book is going to the formatters. It is titled, ‘Simplicity in Hearing God Speak-Led by His Voice.’ Just a few days ago, a friend of mine and I were talking when a fifth book title came to me! We can’t make this stuff up! God is looking for people who are quick to be obedient and available. Are you quick to be obedient and available to the God of the universe? If not, I suggest that you take a look at your priorities and see how you put Him at the end of your list. He is coming soon, and He is coming for those who are watching and waiting (Lk 12:37; Pro 8:34). There’s a blessing for being obedient and available. Proverbs 37:4 says, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”
