“I keep reading the title and chapters over and over, and love these titled chapters! Each title sounds like it’s going to give me an answer that I could easily grasp and understand. My first impression in reading the chapter titles, is that the first two chapters seem like they are laying a good foundation for the chapters that follow. Reading the following chapter titles, sounds like a book that could very well be used as a text-book or reference book in conducting some good Bible studies on this subject. As a minister, if I were to pick up this book and just read the chapter titles this would be my thought: ‘This sounds like a tool that could be used to stir up some thoughts to use in teaching and learning sessions for a group or individual study.’ Now, here are my thoughts in reading the titles if I weren’t a minister: ‘WOW, this sounds easy! Jenny Chapman provided practical guidance on how to do it! The book beautifully captures the spirit of the Word of God in our daily lives and forces us to question our understanding of being closer to God. Her example prayers at the end of chapters are so inspiring that I did, in fact, seek to make them my own and pray them myself. It was written by a true woman of God.

Overcomers By Faith Devotional is unique and convenient. It is helpful to have the scripture, the explanation, and a place for notes. Once you read through each daily scripture, study it, and write down your thoughts, you feel completely informed. I love it and am so thankful for such a devotional!

This book is a great read for anyone desiring to know God more! The anecdotes make it personable and an easy read, and it is all backed up with scripture references that give the book a firm foundation. If you are a seasoned Christian, a new convert, or have yet to follow the Lord, I dare say this book will not only provoke you to want a deeper relationship with Jesus but also open up a new door of encounters as you come to see the biblical and current real-life basis for “hearing the still small voice” of God. Let this book be your launch pad for diving deep into supernatural encounters with the Lord! I believe you will not be disappointed.
